My son moved into a new apartment, and needed vertical blinds to cover the large glass door to the balcony. I ordered the vertical blinds from SelectBlinds. Following the directions I installed them with little problems, and they look great. I did have to make one call to to SelectBlinds during installation, but I got my answer immediately and everything was terrific. Best of all everyone liked the vertical blinds and my installation.
These are great verticals, but I had a few of problems that aren't entirely the blinds fault:
We installed them on a sliding door that has a lot of traffic. These are well made blinds except for a few problems: the clasp that holds the blind allows the blades to fall off too easily. Because we open and close the door lot. We actually broke a blade within one week: lesson, always open the verticals before walking through them.
They look awesome, but I would recommend not putting them on a high traffic door.
Installation instructions were so-so, but I managed to get them up. Actual pictures would have been helpful, but the pictures they have were adquate.
The Blinds are BEAUTIFUL. It took 3 long calls, and 3 shipments to get all the hardware I needed. I asked for the written instructions on how to install the vertical blinds 4 times, I NEVER got them. I finally was told there were instructions on the home page. I still was not sure if I had all the hardware! My ex-husband came over hung them. I have ordered from Select blinds many times and have always gotten Installation Instructions. I Love the blinds and hope this dosen't happen again.

The appearance looks like cloth. The people are extremely helpful. One rod was damaged during shipping, they immediately sent out a replacement. First order measurements were all wrong, caught it, called, they cancelled and said wait until I was sure. Type of people that I like to deal with. Knowledgeable, helpful and very pleasant. Who could ask for anything more.
Good value, good customer service but 4 out of 13 rails were defective.
