I have recommended Select Blinds to family and friends interested in purchasing blinds. I have purchase 10 faux wood blinds from Select Blinds. One of the blinds had a problem, I e-mailed Select Blinds, and the replacement was sent immediately. I value a company standing up for their product and taking responsibility for a problem. Whenever I need blinds I will purchase them from Select Blinds.
The blinds are great and fit perfectly. Installation was an ease. My teenage daughter was able to do most of the work with very little assistance. The only draw back was they do not block as much light as we would have wished but that was our fault by trying to save a little more money. I do not feel however that we could have got a better deal anywhere else, at least not anywhere we could find. We will be ordering more blinds in the future as we do each room in the house.
I love the privacy and darkness of the "no holes" option. I took a chance when I ordered them since I never had privacy blinds before. I'm glad I did.
We ordered faux premium blinds on two separate occasions from selectblinds.com. The first order arrived undamaged and flawless. Installation was a breeze and the blinds look terrific!
The second order arrived with a few mishaps. One of the valances was dented. The metal mechanism on all four blinds was slightly bent and one set of blinds had to be restrung because the knot at the bottom had come loose.
My husband was able to fix the blind so that we did not have to return it. The bent metal did not interfere with the blinds going up and down and we didn't install the valances because we had window treatments going up instead.
Although I was disappointed with the second order, I would still recommend this company and will use them again in the future. The problems were minor, and I'm sure they would have sent new blinds if my husband wasn't able to fix the damaged one. When you save big $$, you have to expect things will not be perfect. All of the imperfections are not noticeable and I saved a lot of money!
These blinds are wonderful and were VERY easy to install. It literally took longer to remove from the package than it did to install. Get your drill and nut driver and it's a BREEZE! If you are considering a wood-colored blind and are matching to existing woodwork, do as they recommend and order samples! The samples come the next day by Fed Ex. I ordered cherry embossed and it was a bit darker than the sample but worked out anyway. The no holes privacy option is very well worth the extra cost. The only very minor complaint I had (which was my own fault) is that the darker wood color absorbs a lot of the light during the day. Something to consider if you are thinking of darker colors. Don't hesitate to order. They are worth every penny.
