by Charlene 5 Aug 2014

When you're ready to upgrade your window blinds, don't throw the old ones away just yet. While they may not work with your windows any longer, they still have life left. It's time to get creative and make one-of-a-kind pieces from your old dusty window blinds.

Cut up those old blinds and use them to make beautiful - and durable! - gift tags. You can paint them, use scrapbook paper and Mod Podge, or use your scrapbooking supplies to cut adorable shapes into them. With these reused blinds, every gift you give will be beautifully personalized, and you won't have to spend a penny.

Take those old wood or faux wood blinds and remove the slats. With those slats you can make a gorgeous picture frame. Stack as many as you'd like on each other or next to each other to create a thicker frame. Reusing your old blinds has never been so easy - or stylish!

With a little hard work and a lot of creativity, you can actually make a modern light fixture with your old blinds! This is where you can make something unique to your home, something your friends and family will fawn over.
