Experience was, overall, very good. We ordered woven wood for our entire downstairs. Measuring instructions were spot on, pleased with the overall value, only very complaint was me missing/incorrect hardware on two of the shades. The first was just one screw short, and fortunately hubby had one on hand. The other was inside hardware for an outside mount. SB immediately shipped replacement hardware, and in a few days we we're all set. Chose not to use provided "valence" for outside mounts as they are little velcro strips that cheapened the look of the shade. Otherwise, very happy, and thousands of $$ ahead!

It isn't a great fit and the edges seem like they will get frayed. Next time I will have blinds professionally installed. Plus it is hard to install with the bar at top.

  • Due to the natural characteristics of the product, there may be a 1/2"-3/8" variance on height.
  • Headrail dimension - 1 1/2" x 5/8".
  • Minimum depth for an inside mount is 1". Minimum for a flush mount is 2".
  • Stack size formula - add 4" for headrail and 1" for every 12" in shade length in order to determine the size of the stack.
  • Minimum width for continuous cord loop - 24".
  • Minimum width for top down / bottom up is 24".
  • To insure proper allignment, please inform us if shades will be mounted side by side
  • Please note: This is a natural product and colors will vary season to season. It may not be possible to match previous orders.
  • Color Dusk Breeze cannot be made with a liner or binding.
  • All outside mount shades will come with a hold down bar and brackets. This bar can be removed if necessary by breaking the glued seal and pulling the rod out.

Measuring Instructions For

Inside Mount
- Inside Mount

Width:
  • Measure the exact width (left to right) of the inside edge of the window frame in three places (top, middle and bottom).
  • Take the smallest of the three measurements.
  • Write down that size making sure that it is the first number of the measurement. This is the width you will order.
    • *production department will deduct 1/4 inch of width on each side of blind, total of 1/2 inch on inside mounted blinds to allow for mounting brackets.

Height:
  • Measure the exact height (top to bottom) from the top inside edge down to the window sill in three places.
  • Take the largest of the three measurements.
  • Write down that size making sure that it is the second number of the measurement. This is the height you will order.

Measuring Instructions For

Outside Mount
- Outside Mount

Width:
  • Measure the exact width (left to right) of the wooden or metal window frame or how wide you would like the blind or shade to be.
  • Make sure to measure wide enough as to cover the entire window and provide maximum light gap coverage. Example: If the window opening is 36", it might be helpful to order 40". This will provide 2" coverage on each side of the window.
  • There is no rule on the width of blinds other than to make sure that it is wide enough to cover the opening.
  • Write down that size making sure that it is the first number of the measurement. This is the width you will order.

Height:
  • Measure the exact height (top to bottom) from the top inside edge down to the window sill in three places.
  • We recommend adding about 3 or 4 inches to this number to insure maximum light gap coverage and to cover the window completely.
  • You will want to mount the headrail above the window frame. Please make a note that some windows have trim that might interfere with mounting so it's important to measure above the trim if this is the case.
    • *width and length measurements may vary +/- 1/8"
