After placing a call regarding installation and asking a simple question about measurement, we were given the wrong advice. If you are going for an outside mount and you have a frame that surrounds your door and the frame is proud off the wall, you will need either spacer blocks or extension brackets. Otherwise, there is not enough clearance. After 2 calls, no one seemed to know the answer to this simple question. We were told it would clear. It does not. So after waiting more than 3 weeks for delivery, installation was impossible. We placed yet another call for extension brackets and were told they would take at least another 7 days. We purchased extension brackets from Amazon and had an overnight delivery. Once installed, the product is very nice. Installation impossible without watching a pretty good YouTube video. It is not an easy install, but possible if you are mechanically inclined. My only complaint about the product is the poorly made valance. Cheap plastic and poor fit on the snap in pieces. I am already thinking of a way to cover up that mess with a nice custom cornice. And once you use extension brackets, you must take another measurement so that SelectBlinds can send you the right size valance return pieces. I'm sure that will take another 3 weeks taking into consideration their extremely slow delivery process.
